Flubendazole is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for oral administration, active against mature and immature stages of the following nematodes of the gastro–intestinal tract of the pig: Ascaris suum (large roundworm), Hyostrongylus rubidus (red stomach worm), Oesophagostomum dentatum (nodular worm), Trichuris suis (whipworm), Metastrongylus apri (lungworm), Strongyloides ransomi (threadworm - adult). Flubendazole is ovicidal. Active ingredient: Flubendazole

To ensure administration of a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. If animals are to be treated collectively rather than individually, they should be grouped according to their bodyweight and dosed accordingly, in order to avoid under or overdosing. Individual treatment (Single administration): Add 1 g of Flubenol for each 10 kg bodyweight onto the finished feed, as a single animal dose. (This is equivalent to 5 mg of flubendazole per one kg bodyweight). One 13 g measuring spoon treats one 130 kg sow. Treatment frequency: Twice a year unless recommended otherwise by a veterinary surgeon. Pigs brought onto the premises should be treated on arrival and before mixing with other animals. Regular faecal examination is advocated to know which worms are present on the farm so that specific measures may be taken to prevent re-infection. Treatment of clinical worm infestations: Treat relevant infestations at intervals shown below: Nodular worm: every 2 months. Large roundworm: every 2 months. Red stomach worm: every month. Whipworm: every 6 weeks. Pigs must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Pigs may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 7 days from the last treatment.

Domestic poultry wormer effective against gapeworm, large roundworm, caecal worm, hairworm, and gizzard worm in chickens, turkeys, and geese. Activity includes adult worms, larvae and eggs. Dosage & Administration • Medicated feed should be fed for 7 consecutive days. • Incorporate the required amount of the product into the daily feed ration. • The daily ration should be fed as a "complete ration" during the 7 day treatment period - ie only feed birds with feed which has been medicated with Flubenvet At the inclusion rates in the table below, for chicken and geese the ration will contain 30 ppm flubendazole and for turkeys 20 ppm. Dosage: Chicken and Geese: • 60 g of product (the whole tub) medicates 20 kg of feed • 30 g of product medicates 10 kg of feed • 6 g of product medicates 2 kg of feed Turkeys: • 60 g of product (the whole tub) medicates 30 kg of feed • 18 g of product medicates 9 kg of feed • 6 g of product medicates 3 kg of feed A level measure of the scoop included = 6 g of wormer. Use the scoop to measure the correct amount of product to mix into the feed as per the table above. The dosage is dependent on the amount of feed that each bird consumes over the 7-day treatment period. Larger birds eat more feed and receive more medication according to their weight. Mixing advice: • The volume of product to be mixed into the feed is small. • Mix very well for even distribution. • Initially, mix the required volume of Flubenvet into a cup of feed. Mix very well. • Add this to a bowl of feed and mix very well. • Repeat twice more, every time into a larger volume of food until the total volume of medicated feed has been produced. Mix well. Treatment frequency: Birds on the ground with known worm infestations are susceptible to re-infestation. In such cases, re-treatment with another 7-day course, after 3 weeks is recommended. Withdrawals Meat: Birds must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment. Treated birds may be slaughtered for human consumption only after 7 days from the last treatment; the meat withdrawal time is 7 days. Eggs: There is no withholding period for chickens producing eggs for human consumption when the product is used at the recommended inclusion rate; the egg withdrawal time is zero days.

Administration should start in the first 24 to 48 hours of age. • Reduction of diarrhoea due to diagnosed Cryptosporidium parvum. Administration should start within 24 hours after the onset of diarrhoea. In both cases, the reduction of oocysts excretion has been demonstrated. For oral use in calves after feeding. • Calves 35 kg up to 45 kg: 8 ml of Halocur once a day during 7 consecutive days. • Calves 45 kg up to 60 kg: 12 ml of Halocur once a day during 7 consecutive days. • For smaller or higher weights, a precise calculation should be performed (2 ml/10 kg).
