Unistrain PRRS IM - 50ml

141284
Live attenuated porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), strain VP-046 BIS: 103.5-105.5 CCID50. INDICATIONS: Sows: Active immunisation of breeding females from pig farms affected by European PRRS virus in order to reduce reproductive disorders. The vaccination reduced the negative impact of PRRS virus infection on piglet performance (mortality and weight gain) within the first 28 days of life. Piglets: Active immunisation of pig farms affected by European PRRS virus in order to reduce the clinical signs associated with PRRS virus infection, the incidence and duration of viremia, as well as the duration of the spread of the virus by infected animals. In field conditions, there was a reduction in the death rate, as well as a daily weight gain in the negative effects of infection. ADMINISTRATION ROUTE: Intramuscular (IM) or intradermal (ID). IM route: administer in the neck muscles. ID route: administer preferably in the neck area and with the proper injection device (Hipradermic®). Shake gently until complete reconstitution of the lyophilisate with its corresponding solvent before administration. Once reconstituted, use the vaccine within four hours. DOSAGE: 2 ml/animal by IM route; or 0.2 ml/animal by ID route. In general, the following standard vaccination programme is recommended: Gilts: Vaccinate 4 weeks before mating. Sows: Vaccinate 2 weeks before mating or at 8-9 weeks of gestation. Piglets: Vaccinate beginning at 4 weeks. For maximum control of the PRRS virus, a large-scale vaccination of all animals from an early age onwards is recommended. WITHDRAWAL TIME: 0 days.
