Cattle: • For use in acute respiratory infection with appropriate antibiotic therapy to reduce clinical signs in cattle. • For use in diarrhoea, in combination with oral rehydration therapy, to reduce clinical signs in calves of over one week of age and young non-lactating cattle. • For adjunctive therapy in the treatment of acute mastitis, in combination with antibiotic therapy. • For the relief of post-operative pain following dehorning in calves. Dosage & Administration of 20mg/ml Cattle: Single subcutaneous or intravenous injection at a dose rate of 0.5 mg meloxicam/kg bodyweight (i.e. 2.5 ml/100 kg bodyweight) in combination with antibiotic therapy or with oral rehydration therapy as appropriate. Pigs: Single intramuscular injection at a dosage of 0.4 mg meloxicam/kg bodyweight (i.e. 2.0ml/100kg bodyweight) in combination with antibiotic therapy, as appropriate. If required, a second administration of meloxicam can be given after 24 hours. For use in non-infectious locomotor disorders to reduce the symptoms of lameness and inflammation. For adjunctive therapy in the treatment of puerperal septicaemia and toxaemia (Mastitis-Metritis-Agalactia syndrome MMA) with appropriate antibiotic therapy. Dosage & Administration • To be administered at a dosage of 0.4 mg/kg body weight (i.e. 2.7 ml/100 kg) in combination with antibiotic therapy, as appropriate. • If required, a second administration of Meloxicam can be given after 24 hours. • In cases of MMA with severely disturbed general demeanour (e.g. anorexia) the use of Metacam 20 mg/ml solution for injection is recommended. • To be administered preferably mixed with a small quantity of feed. Alternatively to be given prior to feeding, or directly into the mouth. • The suspension should be given using the measuring syringe provided in the package. The syringe fits onto the bottle and has a kg-body weight scale. Withdrawals: Meat and offal: 5 days.

An aid in the treatment of painful musculo skeletal conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, certain causes of lameness, soft tissue inflammation & osteoarthritis. Active ingredient: Phenylbutazone

Active ingredient: Dexamethasone Cattle and pigs: Treatment of inflammatory or allergic conditions. Cattle: • Treatment of primary ketosis (acetonaemia). • Induction of parturition. Dosage & Administration Cattle and pigs: For intramuscular injection. For the treatment of inflammatory or allergic conditions the following average doses are advised. However the actual dose used should be determined by the severity of the signs and the length of time for which they have been present. • Cattle and pigs: 0.06 mg/kg body weight corresponding to 1.5 ml/50 kg. • Doses may be repeated once at 24-48 hour intervals if required. • Injection sites should be alternated. For the treatment of primary ketosis in cattle (acetonaemia): 0.02 to 0.04 mg/kg body weight corresponding to 5-10 ml per cow given by intramuscular injection is advocated dependent on the size of the cow and the duration of the signs. • Care should be taken not to overdose Channel Island breeds. • Larger doses will be required if the signs have been present for some time or if relapsed animals are being treated. • In most early cases a single dose will effect a cure but the dose may be repeated at 48 hour intervals if necessary. For the induction of parturition: • 0.04 mg/kg body weight corresponding to 10 ml per cow as a single intramuscular injection after day 270 of pregnancy. • Parturition will normally occur within 48-72 hours. • If calving does not occur within these periods the dose may be repeated. Withdrawals Cattle: Meat and offal - 7 days; Milk - 72 hours. Pig: Meat and offal - 2 days

Pigs: • 35 mg sodium salicylate per kg body weight per day, for 3 to 5 days. • Administration: Orally in drinking water. Alternatively Solacyl can also be administered with the drinking water as pulse medication. Half of the calculated total daily amount of powder is mixed with 5-10 litres of clean water and stirred until evenly dispersed. This solution is then added, whilst stirring, into an amount of drinking water that will be consumed within approximately 3-4 hours and administered twice daily. Maximum solubility of Solacyl in water is approximately 100 g/litre. The use of suitably calibrated weighing equipment for the administration of the calculated amount of sodium salicylate is recommended.
