For the active immunisation of cattle against Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR), to reduce virus shedding and clinical signs including, in female cattle, abortions associated with BHV-1 infection. A reduction in abortions associated with BHV-1 infection has been demonstrated during the second trimester of gestation following challenge 28 days after vaccination. Onset of immunity: 4 weeks (at the latest) after completion of the primary course of vaccination, as demonstrated by challenge. Duration of immunity: 6 months. NOTE: This is the Live vaccine. Dosage & Administration 2 ml reconstituted vaccine. Route: Intranasal and/or intramuscular inoculation. The vaccine must be administered aseptically via the intramuscular route (2 ml) or sprayed into the nostrils (1 ml per nostril during aspiration) with the intranasal applicator.

For active immunisation of maternally derived antibody positive or negative calves from 9 days of age against BRSV and PI3V, to reduce the mean titre and duration of excretion of both viruses. Onset of immunity: 5 days for BRSV and 10 days for PI3V after a single vaccination. Duration of protective immunity: 12 weeks following a single dose. The duration of protective immunity against the PI3V fraction may be reduced in MDA positive calves vaccinated before 3 weeks of age. Dosage & Administration A single dose of 2ml of reconstituted vaccine should be given intranasally using the intranasal applicators provided to cattle from the age of 9 days. It is recommended to change applicators between animals to avoid transmitting infectious organisms.
