Stronghold Plus is a monthly spot on treatment for cats which treats fleas, four species of ticks, lice, mites, roundworm, hookworm and heartworm. The product has immediate and persistent killing efficacy against new flea infestations for 5 weeks. The consistent rapid speed of kill means adult fleas are killed before they can lay eggs. As it has also has activity against both larval and egg stages it may be an aid in the control of existing flea infestations. The product also has immediate and persistent activity for 5 weeks against Ixodes ricinus and Ixodes hexagonus, the two most common species of ticks found on cats in Ireland*, and 4 weeks protection against Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhicephalus sanguineus.
