OrlDen Foot Spray is a blend of organic acids and herbs which kills the bacteria which cause scalds and foot rot in sheep and may be applied neat to treat digital dermatitis in cows. It can be diluted at 5 parts water to 1 spray to make up to 2.5 litres of a very effective spray for scalds and footrot. It can be diluted at 2% in a footbath to make 25 litres of solution for routine footbathing. It does not produce strong fumes as is the case with formulin nor will it burn healthy tissue. It hardens the hoof but not excessively so.

Pig Oil is a useful, traditional method of controlling mud fever in horses and ponies by helping to create a barrier to wet conditions around the legs and preventing cracked heels. Pig Oil also prevents the feathers snapping due to wet & muddy conditions - the 'Bog Burn'. Also lice dislike greasy environments so they are less likely to infest your horses legs. Pig oil is a mineral based oil that includes liquid paraffin. Pig Oils uses on mud fever and other scabbinesses. Mix the oil with some sulphur powder. Make it in to a paste of the consistency of custard and massage on to the scabs. In a few days they will be gone. To prevent mud fever, make a very thin mixture and get it right up next to the skin.

When to use: Dairy cows – at first sign of lameness, re-apply every milking for 3 to 7 days. Can be used after hoof trimming. Sheep – at first sign of lameness, re-apply as needed.
