Noroclox DC is an intramammary suspension formulated for use in the dairy cow at the point of drying off, that is immediately after the last milking of the lactation in order to treat existing mastitis and to provide protection against further infections during the dry period. Milk for human consumption must not be taken during treatment. Milk for human consumption may only be taken from 96 hours after calving. Not intended for use within 28 days of calving. If calving occurs before 28 days after the last treatment, milk for human consumption may only be taken from 28 days plus 96 hours after the last treatment. Active ingredient: Cloxacillin

Noroclox DC Xtra is formulated for use in cows at the point of drying off, that is, immediately after the last milking of the lactation, in order to treat existing mastitis and to provide prolonged protection against further infections during the dry period. Noroclox DC Xtra is a useful aid in reducing the incidence of summer mastitis in heifers and dry cows at risk. Formulated with a long- acting base and maintains effective antibacterial levels in the majority of quarters in dry cows for at least 7 weeks and is non-irritant to udder tissue.Not intended for use within 42 days of calving. Milk for human consumption may only be taken from 96 hours after calving. Should a cow calve earlier than 42 days after the last treatment, milk for human consumption may only be taken from 42 days plus 96 hours after last treatment. VPA 10999/065/001. For the infusion of cows at drying off, to treat mastitis infections and to provide pretection against further infections during the dry period. One syringe per quarter following last milking before drying off. Withdrawal: Not intended for use within 42 days of calving. MILK: milk for human consumption may only be taken from 96 hours after calving, if calving occurs before 42 days milk should only be taken 42 days plus 96 hours after last treatment. Ubroseal®, the dry cow teat sealan, has been updated to Ubroseal® Blue, changing from white to easier-to-see blue which could help with teat sealant administration and removal. For the prevention of new intramammary infections throughout the dry period. In cows considered likely to be free of sub-clinical mastitis, the product can be used on its own in dry cow management and mastitis control. Selection of cows for treatment with the product should be based on veterinary clinical judgement. Selection criteria may be based on the mastitis and cell count history of individual cows, or recognised tests for the detection of sub-clinical mastitis or bacteriological sampling. Dosage & Administration Infuse the contents of one syringe of the product into each udder quarter immediately after the last milking of the lactation (at drying off). Withdrawals: Zero days Do not massage the teat or udder after infusion of the product.

Routine dry cow therapy is established as an important part of mastitis control in conjunction with teat dipping and other managemental factors. The product is indicated for the treatment of sub-clinical infections present at drying off. It also assists in preventing new infection occurring during the dry period. In the case of E.coliinfections this results in a reduction in the incidence of clinical mastitis during the first 100 days of the following lactation.
