Beris Tongue Port Eggbutt Snaffle - 13cm - Hard

209571
The tongue port bar gives the horse‘s tongue enough room because of the flattened area on the port. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. And yet this bit is also well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put the tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Therefore this bit is eminently suitable for horses that do not tolerate pressure on the tongue from conventionally shaped bits and react with head-tossing and the like. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The slight doming means the bit sits perfectly in the mouth. Pressure on the rein alters the angle of the mouthpiece in the mouth and, as a result of its special shape, increases the effect on the bars of the lower jar and tongue. The shaped transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings prevents pinching and also provides the bit with stability and hold. The shape of the bit is particularly suited to working with young horses. Height of tongue port: 30mm Thickness of bit: 18mm

Beris Tongue Port Full Cheek Snaffle - 13cm - Hard

This ported bar has an especially flattened port design. This gives the tongue optimum room. Many horses respond to this with more suppleness and increased chewing. This bit is also well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put their tongue over the bit, as the port prevents this effectively. Therefore this bit is eminently suited to horses that don’t like conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and respond with head-shaking or similar. The full cheek bit sits very quietly and is very stable in the mouth. It provides reliable lateral restriction without the risk of the skin or lips being pinched by the supports. Useful on horses that clearly need more support and guidance around turns, like young and inexperienced ones or very strong ones. The full cheek bit is very popular with show jumpers for turning quickly. Height of tongue port: 30mm Thickness of bit: 18mm
