Beris Loose Ring Tongue Port Saffle - 13cm - Soft

The tongue port bar has a particular flattened form to the port. This gives the tongue an optimum amount of room. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. And yet this bit is also well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put the tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Therefore this bit is perfect for horses that do not tolerate conventionally shaped bits due to the pressure on the tongue and react with head-tossing and the like. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The loose ring bit is therefore a bit for horses that prefer a ""more mobile"" bit in their mouth. The ring runs very evenly in the copper sockets and, due to the better durability, increases the working life of the bit considerably. Ring 7.5 cm, Height of port: 30mm, Thickness of bit:18mm

Beris Tongue Port Eggbutt Snaffle - 13cm - Soft

The tongue port bar gives the horseā€˜s tongue enough room because of the flattened area on the port. Many horses respond to this with improved suppleness and increased chewing. And yet this bit is also well suited to horses that play with their tongues, trying to put the tongue over the bit, as the port effectively prevents this. Therefore this bit is eminently suitable for horses that do not tolerate pressure on the tongue from conventionally shaped bits and react with head-tossing and the like. The loose ring means a greater mobility of the bit in the mouth. The slight doming means the bit sits perfectly in the mouth. Pressure on the rein alters the angle of the mouthpiece in the mouth and, as a result of its special shape, increases the effect on the bars of the lower jar and tongue. The shaped transition from the mouthpiece to the bit rings prevents pinching and also provides the bit with stability and hold. The shape of the bit is particularly suited to working with young horses. Height of tongue port: 30mm Thickness of bit: 18mm
