Active ingredient: Florfenicol Cattle: Treatment of respiratory tract infections in clinically diseased cattle due to Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni, susceptible to florfenicol. Pigs: Treatment of acute outbreaks of respiratory disease caused by strains of Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida susceptible to florfenicol. Cattle: Intramuscular Injection: 20 mg/kg bodyweight (1 ml/15 kg) to be administered twice 48 hours apart using a 16-gauge needle. Subcutaneous Injection: 40 mg/kg bodyweight (2 ml/15 kg) to be administered once only using a 16-gauge needle. The dose volume given at any one injection site should not exceed 10 ml. The injection should only be given in the neck. Pigs: Intramuscular Injection: 15 mg/kg bodyweight (1 ml per 20 kg) into the neck muscle twice at 48 hour intervals using a 16-gauge needle. The volume administered per injection site should not exceed 3 ml. It is recommended to treat cattle and Pigs in the early stages of disease and to evaluate the response to treatment within 48 hours after the second injection. If clinical signs of respiratory disease persist 48 hours after the last injection, treatment should be changed using another formulation or another antibiotic and continued until clinical signs have resolved. Withdrawal: Pig - meat: 22 days Cattle Meat & Offal by i/m (at 20 mg/kg, twice): 39 days by s/c (at 40 mg/kg), once: 44 days. Norodine 24% Solution for Injection may be administered in respiratory infections of bacterial origin including rhinitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and in bacterial infections secondary to viral disease such as viral pneumonia or mycoplasma infections. It is also indicated in urogenital tract infections (cystitis, vaginitis, urethritis, nephritis and metritis) and alimentary tract infections (including neonatal diarrhoea and salmonellosis). Pen & Strep Injection is indicated for use in cattle, sheep and pigs for the treatment of infections caused by, or associated with, organisms sensitive to Penicillin and/or Streptomycin. Pentomycin is a combination product containing 200mg/ml Procaine benzylpenicillin and 200mg/ml Dihydrostreptomycin which is used to treat infections caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin in cattle, sheep and pigs. For the treatment of mastitis in lactating cows caused by Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus agalactiae and Staphylococcus aureus (beta-lactamase non-producing), sensitive to penicillin. Dosage & Administration 15,000 IU (14.2 mg) of penethamate hydriodide per kg of body weight / day (equivalent to 6 ml of reconstituted medicinal product / 100 kg body weight) for three to four consecutive days. Shake well before use. Administer the recommended daily dose every 24 hours, for three to four consecutive administrations. To ensure administration of a correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. The recommended maximum volume to be administered at a single injection site is 20 ml.
