The Little Softy lamb/kid teat has been designed especially for use in the gravity lamb feeders. The Little Softy features the same inverted-tip design as the Big Softy calf teat, that is, fastflow for hungry animals, and a non-leak quality. The Little Softy teat will fit straight into any feeders using standard calf teats. This enables any of these type calf feeders to be easily converted to lamb or kid feeding. NB: The Little Softy is a very soft starter teat. It will not stand up to heavy use by older lambs and kids. Teats should be changed to the Regular lamb/kid teat at that stage.

The Dehorning Handles are stainless steel handles used with saw wire to remove horns from calves, goats or sheep. Simple screw action helps to clamp the wire into groove for the best control while operating. Two handles per package.

Cows fed on TMR, and even while grazing, can be exposed to wire and other metallic objects more often than you may realise.

Wires, and other metallic objects can get into a cow’s stomach and often go on to cause problems. When wires sit in the reticulum (second stomach) they are only inches from the liver, spleen, heart and lungs.

The wires become trapped in the honeycomb lining of the reticulum, where the digestive motions of the stomach acts to puncture, and then push them through. The wires then move the few inches towards the vital organs.

They are easy to insert with a bolus gun and remain safely in the stomach of the cow for her lifetime holding any metal objects there so that they do not pass through to the reticulum.
